Hesston

I sat next to a Danish Engineer on a plane to Wichita recently. He was going on to Agco Hesston. He said he works for a company in
Denmark that was acquired by Agco about 2 years after Agco acquired Massey Ferguson.

This company in the Jutland area of Denmark designs and manufactures combines that end up with a number of brand names including
Massey Ferguson and Hesston on them.

Agco has forced the Danish subsidiary to use combination inch and metric fasteners on the newer products. They had been all metric.

Harry Ferguson Research

If Harry Ferguson had stayed with Massey Ferguson a while longer, he could have pushed them into 4 wheel drive earlier. They would have then had a huge adbantage.
